Accounts, analytics, and advertising
AI AFO does not require an account. It does not include advertising, analytics, behavioral tracking, or advertising identifiers. Supporter status does not affect access to public information.
Location and map requests
With your permission, AI AFO uses your device's location while the app is open to center the map and show nearby records. AI AFO does not save a location history or send the device's precise location fix to its facility-data service. You can deny location access and browse the map manually.
Map display, place search, approximate place-name lookup, and directions use Apple's services. Apple may receive map areas, search terms, or the public mapped point needed for the action you request. See Apple's privacy policy.
Facility data and source links
AI AFO obtains public facility records from Compute Atlas and Datacenter.computer. During the data-service migration, the app may request these sources directly or request the geographic area you are viewing from an AI AFO service hosted on Cloudflare. These network requests reveal the request IP address to the receiving service; a geographic request may also reveal the viewed region or cell. AI AFO does not attach an account identifier or private notes to facility-data requests or use them to build a location history or behavioral profile.
Opening a public source record takes you to that source, which handles your visit under its own privacy practices. Public records may be incomplete or outdated.
Saved records and notes
Saved facilities and private notes are stored on your device. They are not uploaded to AI AFO. You can remove an individual saved record or clear saved records and notes in the app. AI AFO also keeps local facility caches so previously viewed information can remain available when offline.
Optional supporter subscriptions
Apple's StoreKit handles purchases, renewal, cancellation, and payment information. AI AFO reads verified product and subscription dates to show supporter status; it does not receive your payment-card details or create a supporter account. A capped app-open count, reminder dates, and the last verified supporter period are stored only on your device to limit optional support reminders. No usage analytics are sent.
